Today I decided to give it a try. I was happy to find a coupon code CENTIHOSTIE, with which the one-month trial would only cost 1 cent.

The first and second step looked pretty straight forward and simple. I filled the forms and selected Paypal as the payment method. I clicked to the 3rd step, where I saw Pay Now. Oops, I realized that I forgot to apply the coupon code. I started over. But IT IS TOO LATE! An invoice was already sent to me, and the coupon could not be used because the package was partially setup although I didn’t pay. I contact the live chat staff and was told that I had to use another email address.

It finally worked with another email address, but now I have 2 accounts with HostGator. There is no way to delete one myself. I guess I have to contact the technical support again. I hate to leave the mess there to confuse more in the future.

It took a long time to save $7.99.
